Electronics
I will be inserting a video here of the project soon after I figure out how YouTube works...
This project was only learning about electricity and details about it at first, but then we began to learn about programming on Arduino boards. Arduino boards are small computer boards that can be programmed to perform specific actions. There were preprogrammed instructions that we used to learn the programming and create many songs on the buzzer included in the Arduino kit, or attempt other songs. We had to program in all of the separate notes and the hertz at which the note is created. We created a great length of the song "Under the Sea" from The Little Mermaid. In the end we programmed a color changing light to flash blue while the song played as we showed it to the class.
Concepts:
Ohm's Law: Ohm's Law is the equation V=IR where V is voltage, I is current, and R is resistance. This means that if you have the information of two of these, you can do some simple math to find the third.
Breadboard: An insulate surface used to connect solders circuits and replace components easily.
Programming: Writing a program for a programmable circuit or computer.
Kirchoff's law: This law states that the amount of current going through a node and splitting up must be equal to how much comes out.
Arduino pins: These are the different points that we used to connect circuits in our electricity experiments.

Reflection:
I was half-focused during this project, because I was sitting near some of my friends. We created songs on the buzzer in our Arduino kit, and we moved through about six different songs. We never stuck to and finished a single song. I was going through YouTube videos some of the time, and talking with friends other parts. When there was a song we were working on we were very focused on trying to get the timing right for the notes. I learned that I can be persistent and patient when I want something to be done. I also learned that when I am focused like this I will not include others. I will continue trying to stay focused during projects. I will also to work on including others. I had a peak when I was working on under the sea, because I was very focused and worked hard on the song. I had a pit during this time because I did not allow my partner to help with the song. This project has shown me that I still have a lot of work to do to become a better collaborator.
